September Coat is a gender-neutral, oversized overcoat and duster designed for striding through town and country with purpose. Available as either lined or unlined, this versatile pattern adapts to any season—becoming a proper winter coat when crafted in oilskin or wool, or feeling like a casual throw-on piece when made in linen.
Requirements: See pattern photo for fabric and size charts. 5 2cm(3/4’) buttons, 1.3m(1.5 yd) interfacing optional but recommended for most fabrics.
Suggested fabrics: Dry oilskin, oilskin, mid-heavyweight linens, 7-12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twills or canvas. A heavier weight cloth will result in a more structured coat. For lining: cotton poplin, hemp/cotton, lightweight wools or a traditional slip lining.
